Cancer cases - diagnostics and primary treatment contains information about what is internationally considered the most important variables for describing the incidence of cancer. These core variables are common to all cancers sites and is the basis for most data deliveries from the Cancer Registry. All cases of cancer and certain premalignant and benign tumors are included in this dataset. The cancer cases that are included in the Cancer Registry's annual statistics "Cancer in Norway" (a smaller dataset based on international rules on incidence) are marked specifically in the data set (see metadata).
