Description
Merverdiavgiftsregisteret er et register over næringsdrivende som som driver merverdiavgifts-pliktig eller fritatt omsetning og inneholder opplysninger om registrerte avgiftssubjekter med informasjon om avgiftsplikt (aktive og historiske).
Merverdiavgiftsregisteret inneholder bl.a. informasjon om identifikasjon med org.nr, navn på rolleinnehavere og adresser, status i registeret (aktiv eller slettet), eventuelle fellesregistreringer, næringskoder, tidspunkt for registrering og eventuelle endringer. Inneholder også registreringsgrunn, bl.a. ordinær næringsvirksomhet, kompensasjon til kommuner og fylkeskommune.
Formål: Fastsetting av merverdiavgift; herunder registrering, egenfastsetting, beløp til betaling eller til gode, kontroll, myndighetsfastsetting og klagebehandling.
