NLB Pronunciation Lexicon for Norwegian Bokmål

This fullform pronunciation lexicon for Norwegian Bokmål was developed by the Norwegian Library of Talking Books and Braille (NLB) for use in Filibuster, NLB's text-to-speech system. The lexicon is based on the pronunciation lexicon of Nordic Speech Technology (NST).

The download also includes a Norwegian Nynorsk lexicon with automatically generated transcriptions based on Norsk ordbank. The idea behind this lexicon was to improve the Nynorsk pronunciation of NLB's speech synthesis Brage. On July 1, 2023, NLB transitioned from being a separate entity to becoming the Department of Accessible Literature within the National Library of Norway.
