Description

ParlaMint-NO contains the Norwegian part of the ParlaMint project, an EU-funded project supported by CLARIN ERIC. The project's aim is to create comparable and similarly annotated corpora of parliamentary meeting minutes.

This corpus contains minutes from the Norwegian parliament Stortinget for the period October 1998 - May 2022).

The file format is xml in two different versions:

  • ParlaMint-NO.TEI consists of Stortinget minutes annotated with metadata on the speakers.
  • ParlaMint-NO.TEI.ana consists of the same texts, annotated at word and sentence level.

See the documentation file for further information regarding content and file formats. Each part of the corpus consists of minutes from 3,267 meetings, and contains 400,000 speeches, totaling approximately 97,5 million words.

There are two minor changes in version 1.2:

  • Language codes are changed from nob, nno to nb, nn.
  • Whitespaces have been normalized.
