The Arctic Ocean Wave Analysis and Forecast system uses the WAM model which is forced with surface winds and boundary wave spectra from ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) together with ice concentration from OSI SAF (Ocean and Sea Ice). WAM runs daily providing an hourly 5 days forecast. From the output variables the most commonly used are significant wave height, peak period and mean direction.
