Norsk ordbank is made up of a basic dictionary and a set of inflectional patterns. Each word in the dictionary has one or more inflectional patterns. The inflectional patterns contain one line for each inflected form of the root word. A line contains a transformational pattern and information about part-of-speech and morphological inflectional features. The transformational pattern shows how the root word can be expanded into an inflected word.
