Description

The Tromsø Study is Norway's most comprehensive and most participated population study. More than 45 000 persons have participated in one or more of the seven surveys conducted since 1974. The research has provided important knowledge about health and disease and contributes to better patient care, nationally and internationally.The Tromsø Study has invited whole birth cohorts and random samples from the municipality of Tromsø, and collected health data from questionnaires, clinical examinations and biological samples. As data controller, UiT the Arctic University of Norway is responsible for the cohort and the storage of questionnaire data and data generated from the biological material.
