Description

Point‑to‑point (P2P) radio links are used as a wireless alternative to cable or fibre between two fixed locations, often where it is costly or impractical to establish physical infrastructure. The use of point‑to‑point radio link hops in the 70/80 GHz band is regulated by the licence‑exempt regulations and therefore does not require an individual frequency licence. However, registration with the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) is required to ensure correct use and coordination of frequency resources. The forms are available in Altinn or on Nkom’s website.
