The service is used to apply to the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) for termination of a radio link used as a wireless connection between two fixed locations. Radio links are used, among other things, in mobile networks and broadband networks as an alternative to cable or fibre. Since radio links operate in dedicated frequency bands and are assigned an individual frequency licence, the licence must be terminated when the radio link is no longer in use in order to ensure correct and interference‑free use of the frequency resources.
