Change in authorization to use a personal locator beacon (PLB)

PMR (Professional/Private Mobile Radio) is a radio communication system that enables fast and direct communication between users, often referred to as “walkie-talkies.” To use PMR, authorization from the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) is required. Applications for new authorizations, changes, or termination may be submitted by individuals, organizations, or radio dealers applying on behalf of others. The application forms are available in Altinn or on Nkom’s website.
