The service is used to apply to the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) for amendments to the licence for using a radio link as a wireless connection between two fixed locations. Radio links serve as an alternative to cable or fibre and are used, among other things, in mobile networks and broadband networks. Since radio links operate in dedicated frequency bands, an individual frequency licence is required to ensure correct and interference‑free use of the frequency resources.
